Ed Futa, General Secretary of Rotary International (RI) and a member of East Honolulu Rotary, will be the featured speaker on September 28th. Thanks to DG Lisa Foster for arranging this very special speaker! Ed joined RI staff in November of 1998 as the manager of strategic planning for the Secretariat. He came to Rotary International from Hawaii, where he was president of an international marketing consulting firm. Active in youth ministry, he hasalso served on the Board of Governors of the YMCA and as a mediator in the Neighborhood Justice Center of Honolulu. A Rotarian since 1979, Ed has served RI as district governor, group discussion leader, committee member, Rotary Foundation regional coordinator, and RI president’s representative to district conferences.
