Immediate Past President - Jim Morris
|
Jim Morris, effective 1/1/2008, is the Executive Assistant to the President of Saint Louis School in Honolulu. Previously, Jim was the Chief Financial Officer for Star of the Sea church and schools and before that he worked with TheoDavies and its parent Jardine Matheson. In his last position with them he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of their Caterpillar business in Taiwan, where he and his wife lived for almost 5 years. Jim has a business degree from the University of Hawaii and is a CPA.
Jim feels that everyone needs to be involved in community service. It is a necessary part of life that produces rewards for ones own well-being. Rotary enhances service to the community by being able to work with others for a common good. Rotary, with its 4-way test, also promotes ethical business practice. You know you are going to be treated right when you work with Rotarians. Jim has been a Rotarian since first joining with the West Pearl Harbor club in 1981 while working in Waipahu.
