About Rotary Club of East Honolulu
|
| |
The Rotary Club of East Honolulu was chartered on May 29, 1959 with 25 members. Meetings were held at the old M's Ranch House in Aina Haina. The members exemplified commitment and dedication with their near perfect weekly attendance. Still active, charter member, Kal Yee recalls many meetings prior to the ones at the old Ranch House- when meetings were held at a meeting room (First Hawaiian Bank, Kaimuki) of fellow member and Past District Governor Bob Moranha.
Today, the club consists of approximately 50 members who are business, professional, and educational and community leaders. The club is known for its fellowship and service to the community. The Rotary Club of East Honolulu provides opportunities for personal and business relationships, and long-term friendships
The Rotary Club of East Honolulu consists of energetic, caring and community service-oriented individuals. Many of our local projects are focused on assisting the needs of the East Honolulu Community. Our International projects have reached as far as Thailand, Iraq and Afghanistan.
The club meets every Monday at 12 noon at the Waialae Country Club, in Kahala. Each meeting offers a variety of diverse speakers and opportunities to become actively involved in the community. |
