Born and raised in Hawaii, Lisa is a member of the Rotary Club of East Honolulu and has been active in humanitarian service both locally and internationally since 1996. She served as Club President in 2000-2001 and in numerous leadership roles at the Club, District and Zone levels. She has served as a Rotary Volunteer to Southeast Asia and helped to immunize children against Polio in Ethiopia.
She was recognized by her Rotary Club as Employer of the Year and also received the Four Avenue of Service Award.
Lisa graduated from several universities while seeking her educational degree. She obtained a doctorate degree in educational leadership from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She is the principal at Star of the Sea Early Learning Center and an adjunct instructor at Chaminade University of Honolulu. Lisa's passion is serving children and youth through education, and promoting peace and hope in the world through service above self. One thing that most people do not know about Lisa is that she recently jumped out of a "perfectly good" airplane to overcome her fear of falling from great heights. Please help me welcome District Governor, Lisa Foster |
